The Stefan AudioArt Hardwired Equinox K1000 headphone cable is designed to take the AKG K1000 headphones to a new level of performance with naturally balanced sonics. At this level, the listener will experience fuller, deeper bass response, a warm lush midrange, clear non-fatiguing highs and an open-airy soundstage.T he Hardwired K1000 headphone cable replaces the entire stock sections and is hardwired to the AKG K1000 headphones via user installation. Working with the rule that cabling from an amplifier needs to be at least 8-ft long to avoid sound degradation, the Stefan AudioArt K1000 headphone cable can be ordered in lengths up to 20-ft, without loss of sound quality.This installation has a rating of difficult. For difficult and medium installation ratings, professional installation is highly recommended. If you decide to perform the installation yourself please read the included installation guide thoroughly before starting and allow yourself a large segment of time for the actual installation. Because the10-ft stock tail section introduces considerable high frequency distortion due the materials incorporated and structural design. The 6-ft hardwired section does much less damage to the performance of the AKG K1000 headphones and a neutral balance can be achieved using the Stefan AudioArt's Tail End K1000 headphone cable. The new Hardwired K1000 headphone cable offers a more refined natural balance of sound than our tail end replacement version. The Hardwired K1000 cable incorporates Stefan AudioArt's more extensive proprietary wire treatment process with a internal wire configuration designed to bring the AKG K1000 headphone to their full sonic potential. The cable is very light and flexible and compliments the AKG K1000 headphones.
